The 13th Guangzhou International Automotive Air-Conditioning & Cold Chain Technology Exhibition China 2016 was held between February 25th and 27th at Pazhou Complex of Chinese Import and Export Commodities Fair.Ogura Clutch (Dong Guan) CO., LTD. has been exhibiting at this show since 2007. Ogura’s continuous participation was recognized by the promoter, and Ogura was awarded Best Partner Award.
　In addition to introductions of various products on a rotary panel, video images of the rallying in which Ogura participated were displayed at the booth. Also Ogura racing products attracted attention of many attendees.
　By exhibiting primarily automotive air conditioning clutches and other products, such as GT clutch/brake, industrial clutches and brakes, office automation clutches, roots blowers (supercharger), racing clutches, elevator brakes, etc.,Ogura was able to put forward its image as a comprehensive manufacturer of clutches and brakes.

　On February 12th, the second supplier conference was held at Ogura Clutch Thailand Co., LTD.
　44 people from 30 suppliers participated in it.
　Ogura’s purchasing policy for 2016 was discussed, and two suppliers were awarded Best Supplier Award and Excellent Supplier Award.
　Currently in manufacturing industry, not only improvement of quality but also how to be cost competitive has been a big theme.
　OCT will continue its effort to streamline its operations and aim to achieve higher competitiveness together with its suppliers.

　In February Ogura’s subsidiary, Ogura Clutch India PVT.LTD (located at Gurgaon Manesar Industrial Park in Haryana State of Republic of India) began its operation to produce clutches for Japanese compressor makers.
　India has become the 5th country where Ogura produces electromagnetic clutches for automotive air-conditioning compressors.
　India has a rapidly growing automotive industry, and Ogura India will play a key role in Ogura’s global operations.

On February 13th, a professional motorcycle racer, Mr. Iwasaki’s new team, “Ogura Clutch with Power Builder” had a press conference in Kiryu and made an announcement about the new team’s organization and that it will participate in 2016 All Japan Road Race Championship J-GP2 class.
　Ogura is making racing clutches for motorcycles and is supporting Mr.Iwasaki as the primary sponsor.
　Ogura is excited to participate in Japan’s most reputable motorcycle road race.
　Ogura is to use its expertise developed from having been in car racing business over the years, to advance its motorcycle racing clutch design and visibility in the market.

Ogura exhibited at Tokyo Auto Salon 2016 held at Makuhari Messe on January 15th (Fri)~17th (Sun). 
　Ogura showcased many racing clutches it has developed–among them, clutch for new Roadster.
　Ogura also exhibited a new clutch for motorcycle, named Slipper Clutch―technologies Ogura had developed for racing clutches for 4 wheel vehicles are now being applied to 2 wheel motorcycle.
　Kawasaki motorcycle, ZX6R equipped with Slipper Clutch and Inter Proto Series vehicle, named Kuruma equipped with racing clutch attracted interest of many attendees.
　A talk show was also held at Ogura booth―among the guests, Inter Proto Series producer, Mr. Sekiya and two racing drivers, Mr. Nakayama and Mr. Hirakawa. When Mr. Iwasaki from All Japan Road Race Championship took the stage, the conversation on race clutches on motorcycle excited the packed audience.
　Video images from TRD Rally Challenge were shown at the talk show–Ogura sponsored team has participated since 2014 and finished the 3rd last year, and it promoted Ogura’s active involvement in motor sports.

Ogura exhibited at International Robot Exhibition (IREX) 2015 for the first time on December 2nd (Wed)~5th (Sat) at Tokyo Big Sight. Ogura showcased its various clutches and brakes, and particularly, spring actuated brake line-up and the demonstration machine for newly developed grip sensor attracted interests of the attendees.
　Ogura also exchanged information with many people in robot industry, which was stimulating and worthwhile.
　The exhibition was a great success.

An Awards ceremony was held on October 26th, 2015 for the companies in the city of Isesaki that contributed to the growth of local economy. Ogura Clutch was recognized again this year thanks to recommendations from its suppliers.
　With the ongoing quest for superior quality, global competitiveness and customer satisfaction, Ogura Clutch continues to contribute to the growth of the industries in the city of Isesaki.

　Ogura exhibited at the 19th Mechanical Element Engineering Exhibition at Tokyo Big Site (June 24th ~ 26th) . Under this year’s theme, “Connecting the world with Motion Control”, Ogura showcased its various products, such as industrial clutches and brakes and their demonstration machines.
　These demo machines and various “cut samples” attracted attention of the attendees and were good tools to explain their usefulness.

The Japan Machine Accessory Association (JMAA) held the 60th anniversary ceremony at Hotel New Otani on May 27th. President of Ogura Clutch, Mr. Ogura who is its longtime board member accepted an official letter of appreciation from the director for Ogura’s contributions to the development of association for over 50 years.
　JMAA conducts surveys on production and distribution, conducts research on technologies and safety issues, and facilitates standardization of equipment used in industrial machinery such as metalworking machines, non-metalworking machines, and so on, so that the machine tool industry in Japan may be further developed, while contributing to the growth of the economy and the national standard of living.

　Due to opening of a new plant in China (Changxing County) and resulting evaluation of plant’s operation, Ogura’s subsidiary in Wuxi City relocated to a new location.
